If I didn’t have three little kids with all kinds of crazy desires like food, baths, naps, etc, I would definitely have finished this book in just one or two sittings. O’Farrell proved herself a master of speculative historical fiction in Hamnet (read review here), and now she has added suspense to that framework to create  an (almost) murder mystery that will keep you reading late into the night. I completely agree with my mom Liz who put it in her top 15 books of 2022, this book is a must-read! (Lily)
