NINE PERFECT STRANGERS

Maybe you know Liane Moriarity as the author of the book on which the amazing mini-series BIG LITTLE LIES was based – with a cast that included Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley and Laura Dern.  But Moriarity has written seven other novels as well, including her latest,Nine Perfect Strangers.  Moriarity is a gifted storyteller, drawing readers in with realistic characters, spot-on dialogue and engaging story lines.  Just when you think you know what will happen next, the author deftly throws a curveball and sends you some place unexpected.
 
Nine Perfect Strangers takes place at a health resort in a remote area of Australia, where the main characters have checked themselves in for a week of restorative treatments.  As we get to know the characters and their back stories, we also realize that something is a little “off” about the resort and the woman who runs it.  Things go from unusual and quirky to downright outrageous.  But the reader takes that captivating journey right along with the characters.
 
Liane Moriarty is definitely one of my go-to authors – especially when I’m up for a beach read.  Get this one and read it.  You won’t be disappointed. (Liz)
